About
Fuse is an Amsterdam based ensemble of six musicians who play everything from memory and improvise with the same ease. Their sound sits somewhere between classical and jazz, drawing on both traditions without being pinned down to either. The group performs with the energy and stage presence of a rock band, which sets them apart from the usual chamber music circuit. That combination earned them the Edison Klassiek Publieksprijs in 2019. They serve as the house band of Podium Klassiek and have built a reputation for an eclectic mix of styles, blending driving rhythms and expressive melodies. NRC once summed them up simply as having that mysterious something extra.
