About
Born in Sarajevo, Goran Bregović spent the 1970s and 1980s as one of Yugoslavia's biggest rock and roll stars before carving out an international career that spans composition, film soundtracks and a genuinely wild live show. Along the way he collaborated with the likes of Iggy Pop, George Dalaras and Ofra Haza, and kept building a catalogue that blends Balkan folk traditions with something much harder to pin down. His Wedding and Funeral Band is a large ensemble, and together they turn Balkan and Romani music into a full on communal experience. He also has an album to his name called P.S.
