Gotcha! is a p funk band from Haarlem that has been keeping the groove alive, with a few breaks, since 1986. Their early work featured two frontmen, vocalist and guitarist Robadope Ro and rapper Rockattack Ten, a setup that gave their sound a distinctive dual headed energy. Line up changes followed over the years, but the band kept finding ways back, including a 2002 comeback album and a 2015 return with a fresh roster and new singer Nyjolene Grey. Along the way they scored a notable Dutch language hit in 2003 with Je moet je bek houwe, recorded alongside Def P and Moordgasten. By 2022, founding figures Ro and Ten reunited to work on new material, touring together as Them Two The Gotcha! Crew with DJ Dirk Diggler. Their discography stretches from early cassette releases to vinyl reissues, with a 2023 pressing of Gotcha! Gotcha! Gotcha! on 12 inch vinyl through Sounds Haarlem showing the band still has plenty of life in it.
