About
Groove Beest is an annual live music concert project aimed at primary school pupils, specifically those in groups 6 through 8. Each edition puts a different band front and centre, giving kids a chance to encounter new musical styles and performers every time around. An MC keeps the audience actively involved throughout, so the experience is as much about joining in as it is about listening. Before the concert itself, pupils get a classroom workshop led by a musician from the featured band and a workshop teacher, so they walk into the venue already warmed up and ready to get more out of the show. The groove is the thread that runs through everything, and the format is built around the idea that music is something you feel as much as hear.
