About

Harrr is a trio based in Amsterdam that plays ballads in Limburgish, the singsong dialect from the south of the Netherlands. The sound is rooted in country and blues, with a dash of Russian melancholy stirred in. It's an unusual mix, and it suits the songs well. Everything they perform is self written. The lyrics deal with loneliness and loss, but also with joy and friendship. Limburgish, with its lilting rhythm, turns out to be a good fit for that range of feelings, letting the band move from sorrow to warmth without changing language.
