About
Haunt Me grew out of a solo project by Darius Davila, a singer and multi instrumentalist who founded the band in February 2021. He released a debut EP and a full album that same year, then brought in longtime friend and collaborator Hilario Bautista, with whom he had previously played in several other bands. The two now write and compose together, and the group performs as a three piece with Nicholas Devora on bass and synth bass. Their sound sits somewhere between post punk, darkwave and indie rock, drawing on a lineage that runs through Interpol, Joy Division, The Cure, The Smiths, Depeche Mode, New Order and The Strokes. Their second album, Watch You Bleed, earned strong notices from critics and found a commercial audience as well.
