Indigo De Souza makes the kind of indie rock that feels uncomfortably personal in the best way, her lyrics wrestling openly with anxiety, toxic relationships, and the strange comfort of accepting mortality. She recorded her debut album I Love My Mom in 2018, self releasing it before Saddle Creek Records picked it up and gave it a proper release in 2021, drawn in by her willingness to tackle subjects most artists would sidestep. Her second album Any Shape You Take, co produced with Brad Cook, showed real range across styles and featured a chorus built from crowdsourced screams on the track "Real Pain". Her third record All of This Will End leaned into acceptance and self worth, with a title that reflects her approach to mortality as something to make peace with rather than fear. Her fourth album Precipice, released in 2025 for Loma Vista, pushes further into pop territory with a noticeably more polished sound.
