About

Iration are a reggae and rock group from Santa Barbara, California, with all members originally from Hawaii. They blend reggae, dub, pop, and rock, and built their early following the hard way, playing covers in college towns and earning a reputation as a live act that could hold a crowd of distracted students. Their debut full length No Time for Rest topped the Billboard Reggae Albums Chart in 2007, and they went on to claim the top spot on that same chart with Time Bomb, Automatic, and Hotting Up, which is a run few acts in the genre can match. Their catalog spans acoustic reimaginings with Double Up, a self titled record that cracked the Billboard 200, and the pandemic era Coastin', which featured collaborations with Eric Rachmany of Rebelution and Stick Figure among others. Their eighth studio album Daytrippin', released in 2023 and produced by Suzy Shinn, was described by the band as a return to their roots, aiming for a balance between polished production and a more raw sound. Maxi Priest and Claire Wright both appear on the record.
