Isaac Roux is the musical project of Louis De Roo, a musician from Maldegem in Belgium. His sound sits somewhere between dreamy indie folk and subtle electronics, and the songs tend to circle around that specific stretch of life when being young gradually gives way to something closer to adulthood. Nostalgia for adolescence runs through the music alongside a clear eyed sense that growing up rarely goes smoothly. De Roo has taken the project to stages at Pukkelpop, Rock Werchter and Eurosonic, and released a debut album called Troubled Waters. More recently his sound has been shifting toward something looser and more lo fi, with scrappier guitars and a faster tempo.
