About
Also known as: Jack Vlinders
Jack Vinders is a performer from Kerkrade in the Netherlands who works at the intersection of music and storytelling. He was the central figure in the book Geluk van Limburg, and he went on to develop that material into an intimate theatre show called MIJN Geluk van Limburg, in which he sings, reflects and speaks directly with his audience about his own life. The format is warm and personal, leaving room for the crowd to ask him questions from the floor. On stage he is accompanied by a small ensemble featuring piano, violin, cello and Styrian harmonica, led by Ronald Franssen. The combination of live chamber music and candid conversation gives his performances a quality that sits somewhere between a concert and a one man show.
