About
Also known as: James Morrison Catchpole, Jimbob
James Morrison landed a huge hit right out of the gate with his debut single "You Give Me Something" in 2006, and his first album Undiscovered went straight to number one in the UK. Signed to Polydor, he'd already been out supporting Corinne Bailey Rae on tour. In the Netherlands the song climbed all the way to number two. His second album, Songs for You, Truths for Me, brought the duet "Broken Strings" with Nelly Furtado, which became his biggest Dutch Top 40 hit. For The Awakening he started from scratch, treating it like a debut and writing with Kara DioGuardi and Toby Gad, and it gave us "I Won't Let You Go" and the Jessie J duet "Up". Higher Than Here followed in 2015, with "Demons" scoring in the Dutch charts, and You're Stronger Than You Know came in 2019.
