About
Based in Berlin, Jembaa Groove has built a sound that pulls together Ghanaian highlife rhythms, soul, funk, and jazz into something that feels both rooted in tradition and genuinely forward looking. The group released their debut album in 2022 and followed it with a second record, earning attention from broadcasters and tastemakers including KEXP, BBC 6 Music, Gilles Peterson, Soulection, KCRW, and FIP along the way. Their music sits at the crossroads of Ghanaian cultural heritage and contemporary jazz sensibility, celebrating the rich legacy of highlife while pushing it into new territory. That combination has drawn listeners well beyond Germany and connected the group with audiences across the world.
