About
Joël Domingos is a Dutch singer, rapper and producer with Cape Verdean roots, and his music sits comfortably at the crossroads of hip hop, R&B and alternative sounds. He first made noise as part of the hip hop duo Affoe and released his debut EP Lullaby in 2017, racking up 350,000 streams. From there he steadily built a following, reaching the NPO 3FM playlist for the first time with Houden van mij in 2023 and selling out Paradiso that same year. His debut album Dromers slapen niet arrived in 2024 to strong reviews from publications including AD and Het Parool. The record leans into autobiographical storytelling, with a throughline about forging your own path and daring to dream. Stick to Your Ways became his biggest radio hit to date, and the album campaign included a short film told across three music videos. He also opened for Antoon twice at a sold out Ziggo Dome, which tells you where his trajectory is headed.
