About
Jesse Hoefnagels makes electronic music that sits somewhere between alternative pop and melancholic club sounds, with personal Dutch language lyrics at its core. His two EPs, Wakker in het donker and Dichter bij de dag, form a diptych built around themes of heartbreak, self doubt and finding your way back to yourself. The arc moves from stillness and feeling lost toward light and forward motion, and that same journey shapes his live show, which builds gradually from introspective and vulnerable to euphoric and physical. On stage he pulls his electronic productions apart and rebuilds them in real time, with lighting and visuals reinforcing the shift from darkness to dawn. He has performed at festivals including ESNS, Lowlands and Into The Woods, showing that the club energy in his music translates convincingly to a live setting.
