About
Kalandra blend alternative and progressive rock with folk and Norwegian pop influences, wrapping it all in ethereal melodies that manage to feel both dark and atmospheric at once. The Norwegian four piece have carved out a sound genuinely their own, drawing inspiration from Alice in Chains, Dead Can Dance, and traditional folk stories. Their album The Other Side is a concept record built around the theme of dreams, full of ominous and raw sonic landscapes. Light and melancholy take turns throughout their music, sometimes within the same song.
