About
Keaton Henson got his big break when Zane Lowe played "You Don't Know How Lucky You Are" on BBC Radio 1 and called it one of the most special pieces of music he'd heard in a very long time. Henson started out as an illustrator, drawing artwork for albums by Dananananaykroyd and Enter Shikari, before his hushed, home recorded songs found an audience. His debut Dear... led to Birthdays, made in California with producer Joe Chiccarelli, and later Kindly Now. He's also a poet and visual artist, and has put out a wordless graphic novel and a poetry collection called Idiot Verse. Anxiety means he rarely plays live. His range goes well past the folk songs. He wrote Six Lethargies for string orchestra, a 70 minute piece that premiered at the Barbican, and composed the score for the film Supernova. His album Monument features Radiohead's Philip Selway on drums and deals with his father's terminal illness.
