Kelsea Ballerini made history straight out of the gate when her debut single "Love Me Like You Mean It" hit number one on the Country Airplay chart, making her the first female artist to pull that off since Carrie Underwood back in 2006. She then kept going: "Dibs" and "Peter Pan" both topped the same chart, making her the first female country artist to send her first three singles to number one since Wynonna Judd in 1992. "Peter Pan" also topped the Hot Country Songs chart simultaneously, a first for a solo female country artist on both charts at once. Her catalog has grown steadily since those early milestones. The 2020 release of "Kelsea" came paired with an acoustic counterpart album called "Ballerini", and the Kenny Chesney collaboration "Half of My Hometown" picked up two CMA Awards. She followed that with "Subject to Change" in 2022, the EP "Rolling Up the Welcome Mat" in 2023, and her fifth album "Patterns" in late 2024. A five time Grammy nominee, she sits comfortably at the crossroads of country and pop without sounding like she belongs to either genre's formula.
