About
Kids With Buns is a Belgian indie pop duo from Sint Niklaas, made up of friends Marie Van Uytvanck and Amber Piddington. Their sound pulls from folk and rock, built around melodic guitars from Amber and the deep, distinctive vocals of Marie. The songs grew out of diary entries and bedroom guitar chords, and the duo made their live debut at ages 19 and 21. Their first album, Out of Place, broke them through to a wider audience. For their second album, the two travelled to Philadelphia to work with producer Jacob Blizard, formerly guitarist and producer for Lucy Dacus. Written through a turbulent period for both of them, the record is personal and layered. Live, they deliver what their fans call sad bangers, intimate indie rock with enough emotional weight to dance to. Balthazar and Eefje de Visser are among those who have shown support for the duo.
