About
Knuffelrock started life as a compilation CD series, launching its first edition in 1990 to immediate success. The concept was simple but clearly irresistible: carefully chosen ballads, duets and soft pop tracks from artists like Rod Stewart, Phil Collins, Cyndi Lauper, Diana Ross and Lionel Richie, packaged as the ultimate soundtrack for late nights and love stories. The series sold millions of copies across the Netherlands and Belgium, turning Knuffelrock into a genuine cultural phenomenon. The live show brings that same world to the stage with a full band and two lead performers: musical theatre actor John Vooijs, known for roles in Tarzan, Mamma Mia! and We Will Rock You, and singer PATRICIA, who built a following through The Voice and has racked up over 15 million views on her Dutch covers. The band behind them includes Marcel Fisser from Beste Zangers and Tessa Boomkamp of the Edwin Evers Band, among others.
