About
Leedjes veur de Iëuwigheid II is a jubilee project tied to the Nach van 't Limburgse Leed, celebrating its 25th edition. Just as the original Leedjes veur de Iëuwigheid did back in 1999, when a new generation of artists reinterpreted the work of Frans Boermans, this edition places another influential Venlo songwriter at the centre: Frans Pollux. Known for his work with bands including Neet Oét Lottum and Pollux, his extensive catalogue of carnival music, and his contributions to the Venlose Revue, Pollux has left a lasting mark on Limburgse musical culture over several decades. His songs have become part of the collective memory of Venlo and well beyond. A wide lineup of artists takes on that repertoire, giving it fresh life while honoring its roots.
