About
Lily Seabird makes the kind of indie rock that feels rooted in a specific place, and Burlington, Vermont is very much part of her sound and story. Signed to Lame O Records, she released her debut album Alas in 2024, followed quickly by Trash Mountain in 2025. That second record takes its name from an actual neighborhood in Burlington where Seabird lives alongside a community of other musicians, which gives you a pretty good sense of how she operates. Before all this, she put out the EP Beside Myself in 2021 while working as a Climate and Energy Fellow at the Vermont Public Interest Research Group, which is not the usual origin story for a rock record. She has also shared bills with collaborator Greg Freeman and others at events like the BirdSong festival. Two albums in two years suggests she is hitting her stride.
