About
Lime Cordiale are a Sydney indie pop and surf rock group built around brothers Oliver and Louis Leimbach, who play an almost comically wide range of instruments between them, from bass and guitar to trumpet, clarinet, and kazoo. Their sound sits somewhere between breezy pop hooks and something a bit more layered, with danceable numbers sitting alongside thought provoking ballads. Their 2017 debut album Permanent Vacation made a solid dent on the ARIA charts, but their second record, 14 Steps to a Better You, was the real breakthrough. It hit number one on the ARIA albums chart and earned them eight nominations at the 2020 ARIA Music Awards, taking home Breakthrough Artist for the release. The album's single Robbery landed at number 7 on the Triple J Hottest 100 for 2019, which is no small feat. They have also performed at South by Southwest and Groovin' the Moo, and in 2022 they released a six track collaborative EP, Cordi Elba, with actor and musician Idris Elba.
