About
Melbourne based singer songwriter Lior has built one of Australia's more quietly remarkable careers over two decades, blending folk warmth with orchestral ambition. His 2005 debut Autumn Flow put him on the map with the enduring "This Old Love", earning three ARIA nominations and a gold certification, and he has kept pushing the sound outward ever since. His collaboration with Nigel Westlake on Compassion, an orchestral song cycle drawing on ancient Hebrew and Arabic texts, won the ARIA Award for Best Classical Album and later drew standing ovations at the Austin Symphony Orchestra. Along the way he has performed at the Gallipoli centenary dawn service, played Motel in Fiddler on the Roof, written lullabies for the ABC kids show Giggle and Hoot, and scored theatre productions. His sixth studio album The Blue Parade arrived in October 2024.
