About
Longo Longo is a Dutch collective that packs thirteen musicians onto the stage, and the sound they make is a three way mix: Afrikaans rhythms, a Cuban pulse and a streak of Dutch psychedelia. The Cuban side runs deep. The band is rooted in Cuban tradition, and its two lead singers grew up in Cuba. Live, the group leans into the idea of a ritual rather than a standard concert. Their shows are built around dancing, with band and crowd moving as one sweaty, euphoric mass. It's hypnotic, groove driven music that's meant to be felt in the body, not just listened to.
