Lucas Hamming is a Dutch singer songwriter and rock artist from Blaricum who has built a career that moves comfortably between raw guitar driven pop and musical theatre. His debut EP Green Eyed Man landed in 2013, and he quickly picked up two 3FM Megahits with Mojo Mischief and Never Let You Down before releasing his debut album HAM in October 2015. His second album Luck Is for Suckers followed in 2017, and he wrote the anthem Are You with Me for 3FM Serious Request in 2016. Hamming is just as at home on a stage as in a studio. He stepped into musical theatre with All Stars in 2018, then played Judas Iscariot in The Passion in Dordrecht in 2019. When Freek Bartels had to drop out of Jesus Christ Superstar due to burnout, Hamming stepped in and won the Musical Award for Best Male Lead for the role. He also won the televised conducting competition Maestro, beating out his fellow finalists before both jury, orchestra and public. His third album Postponed came out in October 2021.
