About
Ed Struijlaart is a Dutch singer and songwriter from The Hague who spent years fronting the 3FM Serious Talent band Stud Muffins before launching a solo career. His second album, Closer Than Skin, was recorded in London with producer Carey Willetts of Athlete, and features singles like Never, Carry You Home, House of Fire and Heart of Stone. Two of his tracks, Tricks up my Sleeve and Like December, earned the NPO Radio 2 Top Song distinction, and his single Guitar hit the top spot on NPO Radio 2 in late 2018. He also co wrote the music for the musical Soof alongside Peter Slager of BLØF. More recently he has been running Gitaarmannen, a podcast where he talks with well known Dutch guitarists about their lives and music, with the guitar as the common thread.
