About
Named after their bandleader and saxophonist Kjetil Møster, this Norwegian group blends free jazz, psychedelic rock and electronics into something that recalls Can and Soft Machine on one side, and the classic periods of John Coltrane and Miles Davis on the other. Interestingly, Møster himself is arguably not the most famous face in the band: guitarist Hans Magnus 'Snah' Ryan and drummer Kenneth Kapstad both have roots in Motorpsycho, which gives you a sense of the rock weight they bring to the table. With six albums to draw from, including Springs, they have plenty of material to work with. That said, improvisation is central to how they operate, so no two shows land quite the same way.
