Bushman's Revenge are a Norwegian trio from Oslo who thrive in the space where jazz and progressive rock collide. Even Helte Hermansen on guitar, Rune Nergaard on bass, and Gard Nilssen on drums have been releasing records since 2007, mostly through Rune Grammofon, and their live shows have earned serious attention. John Kelman of All About Jazz picked their Moldejazz set in July 2013 as one of his 25 best live shows of that year, and they have shared stages with the likes of Ola Kvernberg and Kjetil Møster. Their catalogue runs from early outings like Cowboy Music and You Lost Me at Hello through to Et hån mot overklassen in 2019 and their 2023 release All the Better for Seeing You on Is It Jazz? Records. Along the way, guests like Ståle Storløkken have turned up on tracks, adding even more texture to what is already a pretty restless, hard to pin down sound.
