Marco V (NL)

About

Also known as: Marco U, Marco V.

One of the founding figures of tech trance, Marco V has been shaping the Dutch electronic music scene since the mid 1990s, when he built his reputation as a resident DJ in Eindhoven. His sound sits at the intersection of trance and electro house, though he has never been easy to pin down to a single style. Three of his tracks cracked the Dutch Top 40, including 'Godd' and 'Simulated' in 2002 and 'Loops and Tings Relooped' in 2004, and DJ Mag placed him at number 16 in the world that same year. He kept a firm spot in DJ Mag's top 50 through to 2009, and his discography runs deep, from early releases like the three part 'Vision Phase' series in 1999 and 2000 through to collaborations with Paul Oakenfold, Marcel Woods and Thomas Newson. His label In Charge Recordings has continued to be the home for his output, including the T78 remix of 'GODD' released in 2022.
