About
Marigold Piano Quartet takes part in chamber music programmes that dig into the architecture of great works, pairing close listening with live performance. One such project brought them together with double bassist Sasha Witteveen to explore Schubert's Trout Quintet, a piece whose quiet melancholy runs as a thread through all five movements. The ensemble works within a genre that prizes precision and conversation between players, and their appearances in format driven concert series suggest a comfort with both performing and illuminating the music for wider audiences.
