Opened in 2014 as a merger of the former Tivoli Oudegracht and Muziekcentrum Vredenburg, the venue attracts around 1.3 million visitors per year.

Eight cellos, one city, and a repertoire that keeps growing. Cello Octet Amsterdam started out in 1989 under the name Conjunto Ibérico, founded by Elias Arizcuren in Amsterdam, and has since built itself into something genuinely rare: the only permanent ensemble of this exact configuration in the world.
