About
Martin Sillen is not a person but a fictional character, used as the narrative lens through which four musicians from Maastricht, Jop, Luc, Erik and Dinand, write their songs. That perspective shapes music about love, doubt, making choices, breaking old patterns and moving forward again. The sound sits in alternative indie rock territory, with interlocking guitar parts and layered vocal harmonies that reward repeated listening. The band started out under the name OOST, making their debut at Nu of Nooit in 2018. Since then they have picked up 3FM airplay, released several EPs, put out their own concert film and received nominations for De Belofte and Beste Song at the Limburgse Popprijzen. Their self titled EP got a release show in 2023. A debut album is in the works, previewed by the single Hopes Up. Live, they move between punchy guitar rock and quieter, more delicate moments, held together by their trademark multi part vocals.
