Meg Myers

About

Also known as: Janice Sue Meghan Myers, MEG MYERS

Meg Myers makes the kind of alternative rock that feels genuinely lived in, all seething riffs and vocals that shift from whisper to scream without warning. The New York Times once compared her early sound to P.J. Harvey, and it is easy to hear why: her songs tend to orbit destructive desire and emotional extremity rather than anything polished or comfortable. Her breakthrough single "Sorry" put her on the map in 2015 when her debut album of the same name landed on the Billboard 200, and the cover of Kate Bush's "Running Up That Hill" showed off a more expansive, atmospheric side. She cut her teeth with two EPs on Atlantic Records before releasing Sorry, then parted ways with the label and signed to 300 Entertainment for Take Me to the Disco in 2018, a record she made mostly in a Topanga studio with producer Christian Langdon. The shift in labels reflected a genuine push for creative control, something she had been vocal about. Her third album, TZIA, arrived in 2023 on Sumerian Records.
