About
Also known as: Michiel Thomassen
Mike Mago is the Amsterdam based Dutch DJ and producer who turned heads in 2014 when his collaboration with Canadian electropop act Dragonette, 'Outlines', climbed to number two on the UK Dance Chart and cracked the top 30 in the Netherlands. Released on Spinnin' Records, it remains one of his most recognisable moments, and the two teamed up again in 2016 for 'Secret Stash'. Beyond the big collabs, Mago runs his own independent dance label BMKLTSCH RCRDS, which he founded in Utrecht in 2010 and has used to release music from artists like Mason as well as plenty of his own material. His catalogue spans everything from driving house cuts to more melodic, vocal led singles. He has remixed everyone from Avicii to Kraak & Smaak, and performed at landmarks like Ministry of Sound and Creamfields. Solo singles such as 'The Show', 'Man Hands' and 'Deeper Love' show a consistent feel for hooky, floor ready productions that sit comfortably on a big label without losing personality.
