About
Mitchell Tenpenny has been a fixture in Nashville's country scene for a while, but it was the 2018 single "Drunk Me" that put him on the map in a big way, climbing the charts on Columbia Records Nashville. His major label debut album Telling All My Secrets followed later that year and cracked the top five on Billboard's Top Country Albums chart, pulling in 20,000 album equivalent units in its first week. Before all that, he had already been quietly racking up songwriting credits, including the Granger Smith top 10 hit "If the Boot Fits", which he co wrote. Tenpenny blends country with pop rock and R&B textures, which makes sense given he grew up soaking in everything from Vince Gill to Michael Jackson. His 2017 EP Linden Ave, named after the street where his grandmother once lived, showed a more personal side and charted respectably on Billboard's Independent Albums chart. He has released three studio albums and five EPs through Riser House Records, building a catalog that holds its own across country radio and beyond.
