MOBILHOME is a Brussels based group built around the vision of pianist and composer Camille Alban Spreng. Their debut album That Tough Tender draws from a wide spread of influences, krautrock, post punk and improvised music all feeding into something that sits somewhere between subtlety and outright chaos. Electronically textured ambient improvisation, heavy distorted riffs, and an imaginary bel canto vocal style all share space on the record, which stretches across eleven tracks. The whole thing is guided by a loose central idea: the attempt to capture that slippery feeling you get when you try to retell or write down a dream, something just out of reach the moment you go looking for it.
