About
Money & The Man started out as a hard rock duo from Overijssel, tearing through the Netherlands for years before expanding into a power trio. The comparison that gets thrown around is Hendrix Experience on overdrive, and it fits: their live show is loud, physical, and built around guitar, fuzz, and pure energy. They have shared stages with Wolfmother, Gene Simmons, DeWolff, and Ramkot, and have played festivals including Paaspop, Zwarte Cross, Dauwpop, and Sniester. On their album MAMMON the band pushed into heavier territory, flirting with metal and stoner rock, and the addition of a bass guitar marks a real shift in their sound. Touchstones like All Them Witches, Hendrix, and the Black Keys still lurk in the mix, but MAMMON leans harder and darker than anything they had done before as a duo.
