Morat (CO)

About

Four friends from Bogotá who have been playing together since childhood, Morat built their name on sharp songwriting and a sound that blends Latin pop warmth with rock energy. Their big break came when Paulina Rubio heard their song 'Mi Nuevo Vicio' and turned it into a collaborative single that hit No. 1 in Spain and went platinum. That momentum carried into their 2016 debut album 'Sobre el amor y sus efectos secundarios', which topped charts in Colombia, Mexico and Spain, earned a Latin Grammy nomination, and landed them a spot on the soundtrack of Despicable Me 3 alongside Álvaro Soler. Their second album 'Balas perdidas' kept the streak going, with 'Cuando nadie ve' reaching No. 1 on Billboard in 2018. By 2019 they had completed their first US tour. Their third album '¿A dónde vamos?' was shaped by the pandemic, and their fourth, 'Si ayer fuera hoy', drew on nostalgic early 2000s folk pop sounds. They have now performed in over 13 countries and put more than 80 concerts behind them.
