Myles Kennedy has one of those voices that makes other singers nervous: a reported four octave range that he puts to work across hard rock, blues, and folk without ever sounding like he's showing off. He fronts two major acts simultaneously, serving as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for Alter Bridge, with whom he has made eight studio albums, and as the voice of Slash featuring Myles Kennedy and the Conspirators, a project that has produced four studio albums of its own. His résumé has some genuinely wild moments. When Axl Rose refused to appear at Guns N' Roses' Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in 2012, Kennedy stepped in on short notice to handle vocal duties. He also jammed informally with former Led Zeppelin members during a 2008 tour break, though nothing official ever came of it. Outside both bands he has built a solo catalog of his own, with three albums to his name: Year of the Tiger, The Ides of March, and The Art of Letting Go.
