About
Also known as: Nadin, Nadin Amizah Harahap
Nadin Amizah broke through not with her own material but as a featured vocalist on Dipha Barus's electronic single "All Good" in 2017, which is a pretty sharp pivot from where she ended up. She quickly pivoted to folk and indie pop, releasing "Rumpang" in 2018, a song she had written at sixteen, and it landed her Best New Artist at the Anugerah Musik Indonesia. Her debut album Selamat Ulang Tahun dropped on her twentieth birthday in 2020 and pulled in multiple award nominations. She followed it with the EP kalah bertaruh in 2021, produced by ambient folk artist Reruntuh, and her second studio album Untuk Dunia, Cinta, dan Kotornya arrived in 2023. That same year she was chosen to sing the theme for the Netflix series Cigarette Girl, performing a cover of Chrisye's 1978 song "Kala Sang Surya Tenggelam", with director Kamila Andini citing the way Nadin's voice captured the spirit of the women in the story.
