About
Nathalia Milstein made history in May 2015 when she became the first woman ever to win the top prize at the Dublin International Piano Competition, a milestone that opened doors to concert halls like the Wigmore Hall in London and Zankel Hall in New York. The French pianist from Lyon brings a serious pedigree to the keys, having trained at the Geneva Haute École de musique and worked with master teachers including Menahem Pressler and Jean Marc Luisada. Her repertoire spans the kind of refined, lyrical classical territory you'd expect from someone steeped in that tradition, and she regularly performs in a duo with her sister Maria Milstein, a violinist. Their collaboration goes back to 2005, giving their performances together a depth that's hard to fake. In 2016 she performed with the Orchestre philharmonique de Radio France, and the same year she was awarded the Prix jeune soliste des médias francophones publics.
