Nicky Doll, the stage name of Karl Sanchez from Marseille, named herself as a tribute to Nicki Minaj and describes the persona as a 90s life size doll built to show off versatility. After competing on season 12 of RuPaul's Drag Race as the first French contestant on the US show, she went on to become the main host of Drag Race France, headlining the live tour that followed each season across France, Belgium and Switzerland. Beyond the stage, Nicky co created the four part documentary series Les Voyages de Nicky, which follows her exploring queer communities in countries including India, Greece, Mexico and Japan. She also provided commentary for the French broadcast of Eurovision 2024 and performed her single "I had a dream" during the fashion segment of the 2024 Summer Olympics opening ceremony in Paris, making her one of the most visible French drag performers working today.
