About
No Cigar are a five piece surf rock band from Aotearoa, New Zealand, who have built a devoted following across Australasia, the UK, Europe and the US on the back of their energetic live shows and a sound that blends psychedelic rock with groovy guitar work. They have released three studio albums: Bienvenido (2022), The Great Escape (2023) and Under The Surface. The third record came together in an interesting way: much of it was written and recorded in Chantilly, a small town about an hour north of Paris, during a European tour. Back in New Zealand the band finished the album alongside producer Connor Jaine. Sold out tours in the UK and New Zealand have helped cement their reputation as a compelling live act.
