Few artists have landed as hard as Olivia Rodrigo did with her debut. When 'Drivers License' dropped in January 2021, it broke Spotify's record for most daily streams twice in the same week, peaking at over 17 million streams in a single day. The debut album Sour followed that spring, spent five weeks at the top of the Billboard 200, and critics were calling her the voice of Generation Z before she was even 20. What makes her stand out is the way she blends pop punk energy with raw, confessional songwriting, her influences running from No Doubt and Green Day through to Taylor Swift.
