About
Os Garotin are a three piece from São Gonçalo, Rio de Janeiro, blending MPB, R&B, and soul into something that feels both deeply Brazilian and genuinely fresh. The trio, made up of Anchietx, Cupertino, and Leo Guima, each pull from different corners of the musical spectrum: soul, MPB, and R&B respectively, with shared heroes like Tim Maia, Cassiano, and Djavan running through everything they do. Their 2024 album Os Garotin de São Gonçalo took home the Latin Grammy for Best Portuguese Language Contemporary Pop Album, and the band also landed a Best New Artist nomination at that same ceremony. Before the album they put out the EP Os Garotin Session in 2023, but it was the full length that really put them on the map.
