About
Also known as: Ourielle Auvé
Ouri blends orchestral composition with electronic music, and the Polaris Music Prize longlist keeps finding her. Her debut album Frame of a Fauna (2021) made the 2022 longlist, and her second solo record, Daisy Cutter, released through Born Twice in 2025, landed on the 2026 one. The song "Paris" from that album was also longlisted for the SOCAN Polaris Song Prize. Before the albums came the EPs Superficial (2017) and We Share Our Blood (2019). She has also teamed up with Helena Deland in a side project called Hildegard, whose album Jour 1596 made the 2025 Polaris longlist too. In 2024 she put out the single "Quiet Drumming" with Jonah Yano. Born in French Guiana, she's classically trained on harp, cello and piano, and now works out of Montreal, where that training collides with club and ambient textures.
