Paloma Faith built her reputation on a sound that sits somewhere between classic soul, pop and neo soul, with influences ranging from Billie Holiday to Etta James woven into every record. Her debut album Do You Want the Truth or Something Beautiful? arrived in 2009 and gave the UK the singles Stone Cold Sober and New York, the latter later getting a remix with Ghostface Killah. She wrote or co wrote every track on it, which says a lot about where her creative priorities lie. Things only got bigger from there. Fall to Grace landed at number two in the UK and earned her two Brit Award nominations, while A Perfect Contradiction went double platinum and produced Only Love Can Hurt Like This, which actually topped the charts in Australia. Her collaboration with Sigma on Changing hit number one on the UK Singles Chart, and The Architect in 2017 became her first UK number one album. Beyond music, she has appeared in films like The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus and played a recurring role in the series Pennyworth.
