About
Peter Bradley Adams built his reputation as part of eastmountainsouth, a folk pop duo he co founded in 2001 that landed a deal with DreamWorks Records and toured alongside Lucinda Williams, Tracy Chapman, and Joan Baez. Their single "You Dance" hit number one on AAA radio, and his cover of Stephen Foster's "Hard Times" ended up on the soundtrack to Cameron Crowe's Elizabethtown. When the duo wrapped up in 2004, Adams stepped out on his own and found his footing in quietly affecting Americana and folk. His solo output has been remarkably steady, ranging from the apartment recorded debut Gather Up through to A Face Like Mine in 2017, which earned him serious praise from No Depression as one of Americana's most consistent voices. More than 30 films and TV shows have pulled from his catalog, including One Tree Hill and The Mentalist. He also runs a side project called Down Like Silver with singer and songwriter Caitlin Canty, releasing music together as recently as 2022.
