About
Pool Kids built their following in a pretty wild way: their 2018 debut, Music to Practice Safe Sex To, barely registered at first, until Paramore's Hayley Williams shouted it out on Instagram and suddenly everyone needed to hear it. The Tallahassee math rock and emo band, led by vocalist and multi instrumentalist Christine Goodwyne alongside drummer Caden Clinton, guitarist Andy Anaya, and bassist Nicolette Alvarez, turned that momentum into a proper career. Their 2022 self titled record landed in Europe through Big Scary Monsters, and they hit the road supporting La Dispute across the continent. They also have a sense of humor about themselves. POOL, their hardcore alter ego, started as an April Fool's joke in 2019 before becoming an actual side project with a proper split EP in 2023. Their third album, Easier Said Than Done, arrived in 2025 on Epitaph Records, a significant step up in platform for a band that has been quietly building one of the more devoted fanbases in the emo underground.
