About
Puur de Nijs is a heartfelt tribute show built around the music of Rob de Nijs, one of the most celebrated figures in Dutch pop. Marcel Mulders fronts a five piece band and performs well loved songs from that catalogue, including Mallebabbe, Zondag and Het werd zomer, alongside lesser known gems from the same repertoire. The show is not a look alike or sound alike act. Mulders is upfront about that, aiming instead for something genuine and respectful. Between songs he shares personal stories and anecdotes, and the performances are accompanied by video footage. After two successful theatre tours, the production has continued to grow its audience across the Netherlands.
